A striking piece of Barnsley brewing history, lovingly repurposed into a one-of-a-kind statement lamp by local creative Old Stuff Lighting. This vintage stoneware flagon once belonged to Wm. Shaw, Botanical Brewer, Westgate, Barnsley, and still proudly bears its original black transfer lettering, including the charming instruction: “Please Return When Empty.”
With its warm glazed top, classic cream stoneware body, and industrial-inspired lamp fitting, this piece blends beautifully into eclectic, gothic, rustic, apothecary, or curiosity-inspired interiors. Whether styled in a reading nook, studio, hallway, or beside a favourite armchair, it adds instant character and conversation-starting charm.
A wonderful example of Yorkshire advertising stoneware with a second life as functional décor — perfect for lovers of local history, brewing memorabilia, antiques, and unusual homeware.
A beautifully odd piece of Barnsley History for your home
