An Exclusive Original Design by Oakapple Designs Inspired by one of Britain's most enduring symbols of nature, renewal and the changing seasons, this beautiful Green Man is an exclusive original design created entirely by Oakapple Designs. Unlike our medieval reproductions, which are taken directly from historic church and cathedral carvings, this Green Man has been designed from the ground up to capture the spirit and character of traditional Green Man imagery while remaining completely unique to Oakapple Designs. The original artwork was carefully designed before being hand carved in wood by a skilled craftsman. From this original carving we created a master mould, allowing each piece to be faithfully reproduced in our high-quality resin composite. Every casting is then individually hand finished using our traditional staining techniques to recreate the warmth, depth and appearance of an aged oak carving. One of the distinctive features of this design is the inclusion of two acorns nestled amongst the oak leaves. These are unique to the Oakapple Green Man and symbolise strength, growth and new beginnings, making this piece instantly recognisable as our own original interpretation. The flowing beard, expressive features and richly carved oak foliage create a striking wall plaque that sits equally well in traditional homes, country cottages, gardens, studies or contemporary interiors.
